Biysk Technological Institute (BTI)
Biysk Technological Institute (BTI) is a structural division of AltSTU, formed in 1994 on the basis of university branch in Biysk.
The institute has the status of a legal person with all attributes and accordingly a high level of independence in matters of education, scientific work and economic activity. The crediting from the federal budget is carried out directly by ministry.
Biysk Technological Institute has the license for the right of conducting educational activity in sphere of professional training – secondary, high, post-graduate education, additional secondary or high education. The institute successfully passed state certification and after its results is accredited in structure of the Altay State Technical University.
Now BTI of AltSTU represents a higher educational institution, there are four faculties (FITMA; FCTE; MF; DLF) and 2482 students (1691 of day time branch, 394 - of evening time one and 397 – of distant learning branch) are trained. From 1997 to 1998 the general number of the students amounted 198.
The training of the students is carried out on 12 specialities and three directions.
